I contributed to the fourth issue of POC! Magazine with a short comic and visual journal about life as an illustrator who’s forced to work with her non-dominant hand due to a shoulder injury. The issue was about emotional labour and the precarious lives of social and cultural workers, my autobiographic story about working through a shoulder injury fit right in.

This was an adaptation Broken Days - A recovery Journal, a visual journal I've created while recovering form a double shoulder fracture in 2023. I wrote this about the journal:

”Six weeks ago I went to an art show and left with a double fracture to my left shoulder. The one that connects to my dominant hand, which draws the pretty pictures that pay the bills.
I had to draw all my projects with my right hand for the next week and I despised every moment of it. It was soo sooo sloooow. So, out of frustration and sheer rage, or perhaps hoping it would improve my digital drawing skills, I began keeping a right-handed journal in my sketchbook which turned out to be a lot more interesting and fulfilling than I could have anticipated.”
